Past Perfect Tense Formula And Examples

Past Perfect Tense:- चुका था, चुकी थी, चुके थे

Structure:- subject+had+3rd verb+object

Past Perfect Tense:- past perfect end in this चुका था, चुकी थी, चुके थे and we use had after the subject and use 3rd form of a verb.

मैं स्कूल गया था- I had gone to school.
आपने पहले भी ऐसी गलती की थी- you had made such a mistake before also.
वह घर जा चुकी थी- she had gone home.

B.Negative:-

Structure:- subject+had+not+3rd verb+object

EXAMPLE:-

वह घर नहीं गई थी-she had not gone home.
उसने तब तक कुछ नहीं लिया था- he had not taken anything till then.
अस्पताल में मरीज की मौत नहीं हुई थी- The patient had not died in hospital.

EXAMPLE:-

क्या आपने अपना काम पूरा कर लिया था?- had you finished your work?
क्या उसने सजा दी थी?- had she punished?
